Je constate avec bonheur que l’on parle de plus en plus de décroissance. J’ai lu hier dans un journal du TGV que, si l’ensemble de la planète consommait comme les francais, il nous faudrait trois planètes. Il y a quelques mesures drastiques à prendre si nous ne voulons pas bousiller le peu de potentiel qui nous reste. Rien de nouveau dans ce concept, la surconsommation était déjà violemment critiquée dans les années 70. Ce qui est nouveau et ma foi positif à mon sens c’est que ce sujet soit abordé dans un magasine offert pour quelques instants de détente dans le TGV.

Nous terminons les radios edits, pour les novices les radios edits sont des morceaux qui ne doivent pas dépasser 4 minutes si l’on souhaite qu’ils passent à la radio. Ce concept implique que l’on pense que si l’auditeur écoute un titre qui dure plus de 4 minutes, il zappera pour une autre station. Quelle tristesse de taillader des compositions. Ceci étant dit, personne ne nous contraint à le faire et c’est notre choix. Il y a parfois des surprises et, par exemple, la structure de “Red Cloud” a gagné en compréhension...

Après un bon steak, notre manager Patrick David nous conte ses frasques d’antan. En effet, le bonhome a chassé le skinhead avec conviction, force et véhémence, ce qui lui a valu 3 comas, quelques dents cassées mais un resultat très efficace. Le club où il travaillait il y a quelques années a été débarrassé à tout jamais de cette engeance d’extrème droite. Je finis la nuit avec John Irwin...

I’m happy to see that we there is more and more talk of decline. I read in a paper on the TGV yesterday that if the whole planet consumed as much as the French, three planets would be needed. A few drastic measures must be taken if we don’t want to mess up the bit of potential we have left. Nothing new about this concept as overconsumption was already strongly criticised in the 70’s. We are finishing the radios edits. For novices, radios edits are songs that should not exceed 4 minutes if you want to have them played on the radio. This concept implies thinking that if if the listener listens to a song that lasts for more than 4 minutes, it will switch to another radio station. How sad it is to mutilate our songs. After a good steak , our manager Patrick David tells us about his escapades of former days. This guy has indeed hunted skinheads with conviction, strength and vehemence, which caused him 3 comas, a few broken teeth but a very efficient result.
